SYNOPSIS
Wave portrays the changing view in West Kowloon Park from dusk to night. Using photo cutouts and video sequences as main materials, the film tries to show people’s joyful and leisurely time in the West Kowloon neighborhood in an abstract and playful way.
ABOUT DIRECTOR
Mou Peijing (Melody) is a new media artist born in Shanghai and living in Hong Kong. She is currently studying a BA in Arts at the School of Creative Media and a minor in Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong. She is interested in combining digital tech and visual art into her artistic vocabulary. Her works are based on the development of the exploration and observation of this world, mostly involving critical ecology, narrative, and language.
Huang Siyi(Cathy) is a new media artist based in Beijing and Hong Kong. She is a year 3 BA student majoring in BA Arts in the School of Creative Media and minoring in Philosophy at the City University of Hong Kong. She is interested in multi-media arts, pop culture, and interdisciplinary study of social and cultural phenomena. Her works mostly use video and participatory activities as mediums and concern about individual’s situation and personal emotions under the grand narrative.
