SYNOPSIS
Untitleded is a minimalist attempt to reimagine brushstrokes, splashes and dashes on a white canvas. Over the course of one minute, the black dot expands into an entirely different dimension that is made of energy, chaos and fun - and then quickly collapses back into what it was before - a black dot on a white canvas.
ABOUT DIRECTOR
Two years ago, Lam Mau Sum came into the School of Creative Media from the information technology field. This is his first attempt to create an abstract animation. He tried to explore the art of line movement inspired by Len Lye in this animation. Wong Ho Yi is a curious person who knows a bit about a lot of things. Having studied multimedia design and having been involved in quite a few film and animation projects, she is ready to explore the realm of the experimental and the abstract. Lau Hiu Yan, a student from the School of Creative Media, has been exploring several mediums of art. Entering the world of abstract animation has been an inspiring journey for her. Lui Yuen Pik had studied multimedia design before, including graphic design, video production, and hand-drawing animation. Abstract animation is a new visual presentation for her to explore.
