Paint on Glass, Photocopies
¡Que viva is a short animation on the theme of bullfighting, in which looks and faces are like shotguns or a bullfighter. A reflection on the struggle and the act of seeing, the encounter between the victim and the viewer's gaze through bullfighting, seen both as a ritual sacrifice and as a cruel struggle. The project of the film started during the happening "The end of the species", organized by Zapruder filmmakersgroup, and was inspired by Ejzenstejn's film Que viva Mexico!.
The film is realised with mixed technique, painting on glass and photocopy.

Giulia Savorani (b. 1988, Ivrea), studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, documentary at the Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan and Moving Images Art at the Iuav University of Venice.
Her research focuses on the idea of art as a process of emancipation from the subtle violence that underlies
very relationship through its dynamics of power. In her practice different media and languages – film, animation,
nstallation, sound, painting, sculpture, analog and digital technologies – are used to reflect on the impositive
ynamics of intimate and social relationships. The same artistic practice becomes a place for learning process n which are probed the psychic relationships that are constantly activated.
Giulia presented her films and installations during International Short Film Festival Canton (China 2020), Short Movie Film Club Festival (Minsk Belarus, 2020), Green Ideal Biennale Technology Paratissima (Turin 2020),
iennale IKSV parallel events (Istanbul, 2019), Macro Asilo (Rome, 2019), 55th and 52nd Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro, Filmmaker Festival (Milan Italy, 2016, 2018, 2019), Invideo 27a International
exhibition of video and cinema (Milan Italy, 2017) . She participated in artistic residencies at Bains Connective
Brussels 2014) and Re-framing home movies (Cagliari, Turin, Bergamo, 2017). Since 2019 she has collaborated
s audio video operator for Zapruder Filmmakersgroup, she also worked in pedagogy field and on animation
rojects such as the animated film for the exhibition The Glass Ark, animals in the Pierre Rosenberg collection, 2021 at Le stanze del Vetro, Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice.
