SYNOPSIS
In Tune is a short film about Ah Gong’s fatherly love towards Cheepcheep, his songbird. Set in a park, Ah Gong transitions from a strict, guiding figure to one that puts his pet's desires over his own.

Director Statement
Using the theme of "freedom" and "letting go", combined with our own experiences of our relationships with our parents, my team wanted the film to be something that our audience will be able to empathise with. We decided to bring in the Asian culture of keeping songbirds, a culture that can be found in both Singapore and Indonesia (our team is made up of people from these two countries) to give it a uniquely Asian flair. 'In Tune' is particularly close to my heart because I wrote the script while reflecting on my growing up years with my parents. Placing myself in Cheepcheep's and Ah Gong's shoes was a carthatic experience. I intend to continue telling stories, be it in written or pictorial form.
