A wild Mother Bear is forced to leave her home in order to protect her young cub, threatened by the fires and destruction caused by the armed conflict in Colombia. After losing sight of each other and traveling a great distance, they will find each other again, always maintaning their hopes of returning to their Homeland and hoping She will want them back someday.
Karolina Villarraga is a grpahic designer and filmmaker from Colombia. She studied at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and graduated with her documentary "Fotosensible" in 2006. She then worked as character designer for the animated feature "Pequeñas Voces" at Jaguar Taller Digital. After obtaining her Masters Degree in Animation in Barcelona in 2011, she directed the award-winning short film "Migropolis", which eventually became a 13-episode TV series produced by RTVC Señalcolombia, and won awards awards around the world, including COMKIDS Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano for Best Social Issues Production and the Audience Award. She now lives in Barcelona where she makes films and content for children through her own production company Micufilm, which she co-founded in 2013.
